After becoming a global phenomenon, Money Heist will soon be back with its fifth season with more drama, resistance, love and action. Actor Mario De La Rosa, who has been playing the role of Suárez, the chief of Spain's National Police Corps since Season 1, took to Instagram on Sunday and posted a picture of his character, reminding fans that the bombshell is dropping in two months on September 3.

The narrative of the much-loved series revolves around a gang of robbers led by a mastermind, The Professor. After pulling off a heist in the Royal Mint of Spain and escaping successfully, the robbers regroup for another break-in into the Bank of Spain, as one of their members gets captured. As they get stuck in the bank, they must overcome challenges and battle it out with the army and police to get away safely.

Returning to their recurring characters are Álvaro Morte as Professor, Úrsula Corberó as Tokyo, Itziar Ituño as Raquel, Miguel Herrán as Rio, Jaime Lorente as Denver, Esther Acebo as Stockholm, Darko Perić as Helsinki, Rodrigo de la Serna as Palermo, Hovik Keuchkerian as Bogota, Belén Cuesta as Manila and Najwa Nimri as Alicia Sierra. Also joining the cast in season 5 are José Manuel Seda, Patrick Criado and Miguel Ángel Silvestre, adding more spice to the platter of the show.

Money Heist Part 4 ended in a cliffhanger, and the next season will focus on the gang facing a bigger threat in the form of army and newer villains, as things spiral out of control. The fifth instalment is scheduled to release in two volumes, with Volume 1 streaming on Netflix from September 3.
