With nearly two months completed in 2025, Tamil cinema has been performing fairly better, if not the best. With some commercial successes like Madha Gaja Raja and Kudumbasthan and big release like Vidaamuyarchi, all these films are expected to make OTT debuts soon. Now, let’s take a look at the expected Tamil OTT releases of March 2025.

Vidaamuyarchi – Netflix

Starring Ajith Kumar in the lead role, Vidaamuyarchi is an action thriller which is an adaptation of Hollywood film Breakdown. The film is directed by Magizh Thirumeni and features a cast including actors Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, Aarav and others. Vidaamuyarchi revolves around a couple who are on a road trip. After their car breakdowns, the husband sends his wife along with a friendly truck driver and his wife, only to find her gone missing.

Madha Gaja Raja – TBD

Madha Gaja Raja is helmed by Sundar C, and is a commercial potboiler featuring Vishal, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Anjali, Santhanam and others. The film released nearly 12 years after it was made, but tasted success and became the first commercial success for Tamil cinema this year. Late Manobala and Manivannan also appear in Madha Gaja Raja.

Kudumbasthan – ZEE5

Kudumbasthan is a family drama directed by Rajeshwar Kalisamy in his directorial debut. The filmmaker penned the script and screenplay along with actor Prasanna Balachandran, who played a pivotal role in the film. The cast of Kudumbasthan is led by Manikandan who is supported by Saannve Megghana, Guru Somasundaram, director R Sundarajan, Prasanna Balachandran, Kanakamma of Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey fame, Jenson Diwakar and others. It revolves around a typical middle-class man who is the sole breadwinner of his family and what happens after he loses his job.

Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam - TBD

Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam is the third directorial of actor Dhanush, and features a fresh cast comprising of Anikha Surendran, Pavish, Venkatesh Menon, Matthew Thomas, Priya Prakash Varrier, Ramya Ranganathan, and Rabiya Khatoon. Touted to be a love story for modern day generation, GV Prakash has scored the music.

Dragon – Netflix

Dragon is a family drama with a youthful vibe, featuring actor-filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role. Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu of Oh My Kadavule fame, Dragon features KS Ravi Kumar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Vj Siddhu, Harshath Khan, Anupama Parameshwaran, Kayadu Lohar, Mariam George, Indhumathy Manigandan, Thenappan and others.

Sabdham – TBD

Sabdham is a horror thriller with a supernatural touch. Featuring Aadhi Pinisetty in the lead role, it is directed by Arivazhagan. The upcoming film marks the second time, the director and actor are collaborating after the success of their critically acclaimed film Eeram.

Aghathiyaa – TBD

Aghathiyaa is a horror fantasy film starring Jiiva and directed by lyricist Pa Vijay. The film features an ensemble star cast including actors Arjun Sarja, Raashii Khanna, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Reddin Kingsley, and others.
