Tamil releases in February 2025

One month of 2025 is almost nearing its end. As we step into the second month, February, Tamil cinema is gearing up for an interesting mix of films. While love will be in the air with Valentine’s Day coming up, there is also the much-anticipated action thriller Vidaamuyarchi coming up. On that note, here are all the Tamil films that are expected to release in February 2025.

Vidaamuyarchi – February 6

Vidaamuyarchi is an upcoming action thriller film starring Ajith Kumar in the lead role. The film is helmed by Magizh Thirumeni and features an ensemble star cast including Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and others. Vidaamuyarchi is touted to be a remake of the Hollywood film Breakdown. The film revolves around a road trip a couple takes, which leads to a husband missing his wife after the latter gets into the car of a stranger after the couple’s vehicle breaks down. Lyca Productions is backing the film which has music by Anirudh Ravichander.

Kaadhal Enbadhu Podhu Udamai – February 14

Kaadhal Enbadhu Podhu Udamai is an upcoming Tamil film directed by Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan. The film stars Lijomol Jose, Rohini, Vineeth, Anusha, and others. The film is touted as the first queer film to be released on Valentine's Day in Tamil cinema.

Dragon – February 21

Dragon is an upcoming Tamil romantic comedy-drama starring Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role. Anupama Pameswaran plays the female lead, with Ashwath Marimuthu directing the film. Kayadu Lohar, George Maryan, Indumathy Manikandan, KS Ravikumar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, and others play prominent roles. Dragon is expected to be a young and refreshing take on love catering to the modern generation. The film has music composed by Leon James, cinematography handled by Niketh Bommi, and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav.

Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam – February 21

Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam is helmed by Dhanush, and it marks his third directorial. The film features a young cast, including actors Pavish, Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Mathew Thomas, Venkatesh Menon, Rabiya Khatoon, and Ramya Ranganathan. Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam has music by GV Prakash Kumar.

Sabdham – February 28

Sabdham, the upcoming Tamil film starring Aadhi Pinisetty, is a horror thriller film. It is directed by filmmaker Arivazhagan who will be reuniting once again with the actor after their critically acclaimed horror film Eeram. Lakshmi Menon, Laila, Redin Kinglsey, and Simran play important roles in the film.
