With Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway, Ashima Chibber's legal drama, Rani Mukerji makes her eagerly anticipated comeback to the big screen. The heartbreaking predicament of an Indian mother fighting against all odds to regain custody of her children—who have been taken from her by the Norway Children's Welfare Program—is highlighted in the movie. The movie was released in theatres yesterday, March 17, to overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and celebrities.

The film's intriguing trailer brought movie enthusiasts to tears. Audiences anxiously anticipated the legal drama starring Rani Mukerji. Early reviews suggested that the movie will have a respectable opening weekend at the box office. According to reports, Ms. Chatterjee might make over 2 crores on the day of release in India.

In the morning showing, the movie had a 5.17% occupancy rate, and in the afternoon performances, it had a 9.68% occupancy rate. The occupancy for the evening shows was around 11.22%.

The upcoming courtroom drama Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway is directed by Ashima Chibber and written by Rahul Handa, Sameer Satija, and Chibber. The true account of an Indian couple whose children were forcibly taken from them by the Norwegian welfare services in 2011 served as the basis for the movie.

In the movie's lead role, Rani Mukerji will play a woman named Sagarika Bhattacharya who battled the Norwegian government in court to reclaim custody of her children. In significant supporting parts, it also features Anirban Bhattacharya, Neena Gupta, and Jim Sarbh. Rani and Emmay Entertainment are the film's producers.
