Once in a while, a few low-budget films are made quietly but end up creating a lot of buzz ahead of their release. One such film, launched the other day, is Mutton Soup, a social drama packed with multiple thrills. On the eve of Independence Day, the motion poster and title were unveiled by the makers through veteran KS Rama Rao.

Directed by Ramachandra Vattikuti, Mutton Soup explores ghastly crimes in Hyderabad and how the cops unravel them. Featuring Raman and Varsha Vishwanath, the film is already in production and is being made on a moderate budget.

Speaking about the project, director Ramachandra said it is shaping up well and that he is pleased with the team’s response. The film is expected to release in January 2026. Raman makes his debut as the male lead, while Varsha, the female lead, revealed that the story is based on shocking real incidents from a few years ago.

Mutton Soup also stars Gemini Suresh, Govind Srinivas, Shivaraj, SRK, Charan, Kiran, Gopal Maharshi, Sunitha Manohar, and Master Vihar in key roles. Cinematography is handled by Bharadwaj and Phanindra, while Venky Veena composed the music.

The young team has put in a lot of hard work and hopes the strong content will make their film a talking point upon release. Lokesh Kadali is the editor, and Parvathaneni Rambabu is overseeing the entire project. Post-production will begin soon, after which the release date will be finalized.
