At present, he is shooting for a new film titled Vrushakarma, which is being directed by Karthik Varma Dandu. Meenakshi Chaudhary of Sankranthiki Vastunnam fame is playing the female lead in this project.

OTT Play has already revealed that Naga Chaitanya has locked his next film with director Clark. He is the same director who last made Bala Lanka in 2012, which turned out to be a decent hit at the box office.

This upcoming comedy caper has been finalized and will be officially announced soon. Pre-production work is progressing at a brisk pace, and once Chaitanya wraps up Usha Karma, he will join the sets of this yet-untitled film.

The latest update is that Netflix has bagged the digital rights to the film for a fancy price. A source close to the unit revealed that Netflix has paid a substantial amount and has also had a say in locking the release window. As per the update, this yet-untitled film is slated to hit the screens in the summer of 2027.

Naga Chaitanya had been going through a rough phase with a series of flops, following which he took a brief break and decided to focus only on content-driven films. This approach worked well, as Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, emerged as a big hit.

He is also trying his hand at an adventure thriller titled Vrushakarma. The shooting of the film is nearing completion, and the makers are expected to begin the final schedule very soon.

The yet-untitled project directed by Clark will be made on a youthful scale. Instead of chasing star directors, Naga Chaitanya is now prioritizing young filmmakers who come with strong content.

With Netflix backing the project, the makers have already recovered nearly half of the film’s budget. It remains to be seen who will play the female lead in this film and when the adventure thriller will go on floors.
