Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is gradually bouncing back to form and is proving his consistency, turning out to be a bankable crowd-puller with hits like 118, Bimbisara in the recent times. While Bimbisara was one of the biggest hits of 2022, he will begin 2023 with another unique tale, an actioner surrounding three doppelgangers (which has him playing a triple role), written and directed by Rajendra Reddy. The film, marking the Telugu debut of Kannada actress Ashika Ranganath, is all set to hit screens on February 10.

The promos of Amigos have captured the imagination of audiences and with only two weeks left for the film’s release, the promotional campaign is set to kickstart shortly. A special video, featuring an interaction between Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and a group of fans, was unveiled by the team today. The video has a group of fans calling Kalyan Ram, while the latter, who’s in his green room, elaborates on the core idea of Amigos patiently.

While the fan is all praise for the actor’s earlier film Bimbisara, he can’t comprehend anything about his next; be it the title or its theme. However, Kalyan Ram assures the confused fan that Amigos will be a new experience for all viewers. He explains them the meaning of doppelgangers and there’s a reference to Jai Lavakusa as well, the film that the actor produced, featuring his brother Jr NTR in a triple role. The most interesting aspect of the video is preserved for its final portion.

Amigos will have a remix version of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s iconic track Enno Rathrulosthayi from his hit film Dharma Kshetram (alongside Divya Bharathi). Kalyan Ram doesn’t reveal this directly and instead whistles to confirm the news. The fans, naturally, appear thrilled. The first single from the film, Yeka Yeka, composed by Ghibran, is a hit on Youtube with nearly 3 million views. Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Makers, the team behind Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya, are bankrolling the film.
