Telugu star Nani has been flying high recently, after the success of his Tuck Jagadish which was released on Amazon Prime Video. The actor also has a few big movies on the way and now he has commented on Shyam Singha Roy which is bound to excite the fans.

Talking to Pinkvilla, the actor said, “I think it will be a benchmark...it will be very special for Telugu audiences. It will have all that grandeur drama of big-screen entertainment and at the same time very unique in its own way.” The Jersey star also says that he can already foresee the film being remade into different languages and being relatable to everyone.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the thriller also has Sai Pallavi in the lead role and features Krithi Shetty, Madonna Sebastian, Jisshu Sengupta, Rahul Ravindran, Murali Sharma and Abhinav Gomatam in important roles.

Touted to be a period film set in Kolkata, the movie will see Nani play Shyam. The art director for the movie, Avinash Kolla has created massive sets resembling Kolkata in the outskirts of Hyderabad. Written by Satyadev Janga, the movie also has Mickey J Meyer as the cinematographer.

Nani is currently working on his next film which is titled Ante Sundaraniki. Written and directed by Vivek Athreya, the movie will also mark the Telugu debut of Nazriya Nazim Fahadh, the popular Malayalam actress best known for movies like Bangalore Days and Trance.
