Tovino Thomas-led Narivetta made quite an impression among the audiences, garnering positive reviews for its realistic and gritty portrayal of a tribal agitation. The film, helmed by Anuraj Manohar, is all set to make its much-awaited OTT premiere on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium soon. Before the Narivetta’s big OTT release, here's how much the Tovino Thomas-led Malayalam film made in theatres.

Narivetta final box office collection

The Malayalam film Narivetta was released in theatres on May 23, 2025, registering a collection of Rs 1.65 crore on its opening day, as per the figures on Sacnilk. The film consistently earned in over 1 crore in its first five days at the box office, with the day 3 collections crossing Rs 2 crore. Narivetta’s total worldwide box office collection, as per Sacnilk, stands at Rs 29.31 crore, just shy of hitting the Rs 30-crore mark.

Narivetta star cast and plot

Narivetta stars Tovino Thomas in the lead, who won the critics' approval for his gritty performance as a cop who battles both external forces and his conscience amid a tribal protest in Wayanad. Suraj Venjaramoodu and Cheran play other key roles of cops in the film, which chronicles the events after the police obstruct tribal’s protest for land allocation.

Arya Salim also leaves a mark as activist Shanthi, despite the limited screen time. Priyamvada Krishnan is seen as Varghese's love interest, Sofiya. Pranav Teophine, Nandhu and Prasanth Madhavan are also part of the supporting cast. Noted writer-filmmaker Shahi Kabir, who recently helmed Ronth, also makes an appearance.

Narivetta on OTT

You can stream Narivetta on SonyLiv via OTTplay Premium from July 11, 2025. The Malayalam film will also be available to stream in other languages of Hindi and Telugu. The film, which garnered critical acclaim, is expected to win more appreciation upon its digital debut this week.

Narivetta had released in theatres along with Dhyan Sreenivasan-led Detective Ujjwalan and Azadi and Sreenath Bhasi’s Azadi. Azadi has already made its digital debut and is also available for streaming on OTTplay Premium.
