Narivetta OTT release: Where to stream Tovino Thomas' police drama in Telugu and Hindi

Tovino Thomas' latest film, Narivetta, will be available online soon. The police drama will be streaming on Sony LIV as well as OTTplay Premium from this week.

Narivetta in multiple languages on OTT

It has been confirmed that the film will be accessible on the online platform from July 11 in multiple languages. Apart from Malayalam, Narivetta will be streaming in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Tamil on Sony LIV. The film, which hit the big screen on May 23, is making its OTT debut following a successful theatrical run. Detective Ujjwalan and Azadi were the other two Malayalam movies which released on the same date. While Detective Ujjwalan will be available on Netflix soon, Azadi is streaming on Sun NXT, Manorama Max and OTTplay Premium.

The digital rights of a number of Malayalam films were bagged by Sony LIV in recent times. In June, Naslen's Alappuzha Gymkhana made its OTT debut on this platform. Pravinkoodu Shappu, Bromance, and Maranamass were also included recently.

Narivetta praised for being a gritty cop drama

This film, which was helmed by Ishq-fame Anuraj Manohar effectively captures a community's powerful rebellion against institutional exploitation. The audience hailed Narivetta as a compelling socio-political drama with an engaging narrative and emotive performances.

The main character of the movie is Varghese, who is ultimately compelled to become a police constable. He and his team are assigned to Wayanad soon after his joining, to supervise the Adivasi community who have occupied a restricted area of the forest in protest of the State government's inefficiency in land distribution. Over the course of a few days, Varghese witnesses atrocious incidents that profoundly impact his life.

Cheran, Aarya Salim, Priyamvada Krishnan, and Suraj Venjaramoodu also play important parts in Narivetta. Abin Joseph wrote the screenplay for the movie. Narivetta was financed by Tippu Shah and Shiyas Hassan under the Indian Cinema Company's auspices. The background music and soundtracks for the thriller have been composed by Jakes Bejoy.
