NEEK OTT release: Dhanush’s directorial Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam heading for streaming premiere soon

Actor Dhanush helmed his third film Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, a young romance drama starring a bunch of newcomers. The film released in theatres on February 21, alongside Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon. Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam stars Dhanush’s nephew and debutant Pavish in the lead role, along with Anikha Surendran, Matthew Thomas and others.

NEEK OTT release

Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam is a 2025 Tamil film, written and directed by Dhanush. The film released on February 21 and is currently running in theatres. The film features Anikha Surendran, Matthew Thomas, Priya Prakash Varrier, Rabiya Khatoon, Ramya Ranganathan and Venkatesh Menon, along with senior actors like Sarathkumar, Naren, and Saranya Ponvannan. GV Prakash has scored the music with Dhanush backing the film under Wunderbar Films.

As per reports, Prime Video has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film, and will premiere on March 21. An official confirmation has not yet been announced by the makers or the streaming platform.

Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam opened to mixed reviews upon its release. However, it was overshadowed by the release of Dragon, which became commercial blockbuster and is successfully running in theatres.

Towards the end of Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, Dhanush also hinted that there will be possible sequel to the film.

Dhanush to postpone Idly Kadai release and direct Ajith Kumar?

Dhanush will be next seen in Idly Kadai, a film which he will be directing and starring in it as well. It features actors Arun Vijay, Nithya Menen, Rajkiran and others. The film is produced by Dawn Pictures and slated for release on April 10. However, it Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly also scheduled for release on the same day, reports suggest that Idly Kadai will be postponed, in addition to talks going on for Dhanush to direct Ajith.

Meanwhile, Dhanush has Kuberaa with Sekhar Kammula and Tere Isq Mein in production and due for releases this year.
