It looks like director Nelson Dilipkumar has taken a break from the shoot of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer. The latest we hear is that the director had jetted off to Qatar to watch the ongoing FIFA world cup 2022. The ace director shared an image of him watching the match on his social media handle.

On the film front, we hear that almost 50 per cent of the shoot for Superstar Rajiniknath’s Jailer has been completed. The next schedule is set to begin in the third week of December after Nelson returns from his vacation. It was only recently that the makers had released a BTS picture of the Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar, who is making his debut in Tamil with the film. They had also dropped a glimpse of Superstar Rajinikanth from the sets which instantly went viral on social media.

Jailer has an ensemble cast which includes Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi and Yogi Babu among others. Tamanaah is said to be playing a crucial role in the film, however, there has been confirmation on the same yet. The film marks Ramya Krishnan’s comeback in a Rajinikanth film after a span of two decades in Padayappa (1999) and  a brief cameo in Baba (2002) where she reprised her iconic character from Padapayappa, Neelambari.

Music for Jailer is by Anirudh Ravichander after his collaboration with the Superstar in Petta and Darbar. As Baba gears up for re-release, a picture of Anirudh from the posters of the film had piqued the curiosity of the fans. The actor had appeared as a child artiste in one of the songs in the film.

While Superstar Rajinikanth was last seen in Siva’s Annaaththe, which was a dampener at the box office, Nelson Dilipkumar’s last work was Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast, which opened to mixed reviews from the audience.
