Ganesh Bellamkonda, son of producer Bellamkonda Suresh and brother to Chatrapathi star Sreenivas Bellamkonda, forayed as an actor with the family entertainer Swathimuthyam, that released for Dussehra in 2022. While the film earned much acclaim upon its OTT release on aha, the actor now gears up for his second release - Nenu Student Sir, written and directed by a debutant Rakhi Uppalapati.

Avantika Dassani makes her Telugu debut with the action thriller that’s releasing in theatres on June 2. Samuthirakani, Sunil, Srikanth Iyengar, Auto Ramprasad, Charandeep, Pramodhini, Ravi Sivateja and others play important roles in the film too. While the teaser and the songs have elicited good responses, the makers unveiled the trailer today and it promises us an interesting outing.

The trailer begins with an interaction between a mother and a son, where the latter asks her to suggest a name for his new phone - they call it Buchi Babu, a name that she’d thought for her brother. The protagonist Subbu is later introduced as a college who has a happening love-life. He falls for a college mate, whose father is a cop. However, his life takes a drastic turn later.

Subbu is framed in a murder and the rumour about his involvement spreads like wildfire. Even before he recovers from this shock, the cops claim that a cash-flow of over Rs 1.5 crore to his bank account suggests something fishy. How far will the protagonist go to prove his innocence. With a dose of thrills, action, romance, Nenu Student Sir gets its commercial mix right.

Produced by Naandhi fame Satish Varma under SV2 Entertainment, the film has music by Mahati Swara Sagar. Anith Madhadi is the cinematographer for the same and Chota K Prasad is the editor. Kalyan Chakravarthi has written the dialogues and Raghu (master) has choreographed the stunts. The film will lock horns with two other releases on June 2 - Ahimsa and Pareshan.
