Netflix India has consistently entertained its users by bringing movies and shows like Sardar Ka Grandson, Bombay Begums, Pagglait and more in 2021. The streaming giant has alleviated users in the midst of a pandemic and is aiming to take its catalogue a step further by adding exciting titles each month, from June to September 2021. These films will feature star-studded casts and gripping plotlines, reestablishing Netflix’s position as a top streamer in the country.

The first release in this lineup is Dhanush’s Jagame Thandhiram which is all set to premiere on the OTT platform on June 18. The cast also includes Game of Thrones’ James Cosmo, Joju George and Aishwarya Lekshmi. This Tamil action-thriller, directed by Karthik Subburaj, will mark the Indian film debut of Cosmo. Fans have been beyond excited to watch Jagame Thandhiram since it combines the brilliance of Dhanush with the memorable Jeor Mormont of Game of Thrones.

In July, Netflix users are going to be able to stream Vinil Matthew’s Haseen Dillruba. Starring Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, Harshvardhan Rane and Hansika Motwani, Haseen Dillruba is a mystery thriller that follows a murder with no explanation and suspects.

Mani Ratnam’s Navarasa a Tamil anthology webseries, is going to release on the streaming platform in August. The nine episodes of this series will represent a different emotion (or rasa) - like anger, compassion, courage, disgust, fear, laughter, love, peace and wonder. Stars from the Southern film industries like Nithya Menen, Yogi Babu, Vijay Sethupathi, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Suriya and Revarthi are set to lead different episodes in Navarasa.

Karthik Aaryan’s much-awaited Dhamaka will be coming to Netflix in September. The film, which is an official remake of the 2014 film The Terror Live will follow Aaryan as a journalist who has returned to his profession after a hiatus and must cover the live broadcast of a terror attack. The film was reportedly sold to Netflix for a whopping Rs. 135 crore.

Netflix, in addition to these four colossal projects, will be releasing other shows and movies in the duration.
