Director Shahi Kabir is also a noted script-writer who has penned popular Malayalam movies such as Joseph, Nayattu and Officer on Duty. Ronth is also yet another cop story from Shahi Kabir as the film follows rookie cop Dinnath (played by Roshan Mathew) who joins the senior officer Yohannan (Dileesh Pothan) on a patrolling duty. From the cops who spar initially to the situations they deal with, the film has authentic characters and plot points that make for an engaging watch. The film won positive reviews upon its theatrical release, but some netizens took objection to certain problematic portrayals in Ronth after its OTT release.

X&Y

Language: Kannada

This Kannada comedy drama revolves around Kreede. The death of a beggar, the soul of an unborn child, and an estranged couple all form part of the narrative, which strives to stand out from the typical films. Filmmaker D Satya Prakash joins the cast of actors Atharva Prakash and Sunder Veena in X&Y.

Noted actors Vinay Forrt and Sharafudheen join hands for this Malayalam film, which looks into the lives of two couples. Vimala and Manojan are doubtful that their newborn child may not be their own. As they set out to find the truth, they come across another couple Harris and Faiza. Lijomol Jose and Priyamvada play the female leads in this film.
