Janaki is a young IT professional leading a vibrant life. But soon Janaki is sexually assaulted and left battling for justice and her reputation in the court of law. Anupama Parameswaran plays the lead role in this film, which has Suresh Gopi as a bold lawyer. The Malayalam film faced a roadblock initially after the Censor Board objected to Janaki in the title. However, the issue was settled with makers agreeing to make changes. JSK will be much-sort after in the digital space.

Constable Kanakam

Another Telugu series led by a woman, Constable Kanakam has actress Varsha Bollama in the lead along with Rajeev Kanakala. The series reportedly revolves around black magic, depicting how village women get impacted by it. A cop thriller, the series has seven episodes and is helmed by Prasanth Dimmala

Vyasanasametham Bandhumithradhikal

OTT release date: August 14, 2025

OTT platform Manorama MAX

This quirky film, which would be difficult to pronounce for non-Malayalam speakers, stars actress Anaswara Rajan in the lead role. The film follows the events after her grandmother’s demise, as more people intervene in the funeral proceedings. Siju Sunny, Joemon Jyothir, Azees Nedumangad and Baiju Santhosh also appear in key roles in the film, which promises some laughter.

Good Day

OTT Release date: August 15, 2025

OTT platform: Sun NXT, OTTplay Premium

Actor Prithiviraj Ramalingam plays Santhakumar who is having a rather bad day after a humiliating incident at the garment factory where he works. He drowns his misery in alcohol and roams the night, but unexpected things are in store. You may want to give a chance to this movie that has one or two tricks up its sleeve.

Akkenam

OTT release date: August 16, 2025

OTT platform: SunNXT, OTTplay Premium

An action-packed thriller Akkenam, stars Keerthi Pandian as the taxi driver Indira, whose paths cross with that of a convict who has been recently released from the prison. Arun Pandian and Adithya Shivpink play the other key roles in the film, which released in theatres in July 2025.

OTT platform: Amazon Prime Video

Kireeti Reddy made his film debut with this action drama, playing the lead role of Abhinav, who wants to make the most of his college life.
