Nivin Pauly was offered Vineeth Sreenivasan-starrer Mukundan Unni Associates? Oru Jaathi Jathakam star spills the beans

Vineeth Sreenivasan, who is busy promoting his upcoming film Oru Jaathi Jathakam, was also asked if Nivin Pauly was offered Mukundan Unni Associates.

Nivin Pauly, who shot to popularity with Premam, is a much-loved star in Malayalam cinema. Unfortunately, the Neram actor has not scored a blockbuster hit in the recent past. Nivin Pauly is also a close friend of Vineeth Sreenivasan with whom he has done hit films such as Thattathin Marayathu.

Vineeth Sreenivasan, who is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Oru Jaathi Jathakam, spoke about Nivin Pauly and collaborating with him again. The actor-filmmaker was also asked if Nivin was offered Mukundan Unni Associates, which eventually starred Vineeth Sreenivasan.

Mukundan Unni Associates offered to Nivin Pauly?

During one of the promotional interviews for Oru Jaathi Jathakam, Vineeth was asked if Nivin Pauly was offered Mukundan Unni Associates, directed by Abhinav Sunder Nayak.

Vineeth first replied that he didn’t know about it. But then he goes on to explain that director Abhinav had a wish list. “He had a list of about 4-5 names. I think he wanted Nivin (to play the lead role). Then he tried another actor and then again another,” Vineeth said.

Vineeth, who has helmed popular movies such as Pranav Mohanlal’s Hridayam, went on to explain that actors are generally unsure of projects if they are not familiar with the directors.

Vineeth said that he had previously worked with director Abhinav, an editor-turned-filmmaker, who had cut the trailers of his films, Thira and Jacobinte Swargarajyam.

Mukundan Unni Associates

For the unversed, Mukundan Unni Associates marks the directorial debut of Abhinav. Vineeth Sreenivasan starred in the lead role of advocate Mukundan Unni in the film, a black comedy.

Mukundan Unni Associates is available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

Meanwhile, Nivin Pauly was last seen in Malayalee From India, which also featured Dhyan Sreenivasan. The film, which opened to mixed reviews, is available for streaming on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium. Nivin was also a part of Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Varshangalkku Shesham. Despite the limited screen time, his performance was noted.
