It’s almost become a habit for Nivin Pauly films off late to announce a release date, only to push it further. But fans of the actor can be rest assured that his upcoming entertainer Saturday Night will now stick to its release date, which was unveiled by the actor through his social media page on his birthday, October 11.

The film, which marks his second collaboration with Rosshan Andrrews after Kayamkulam Kochunni, has him essaying the character of Stanley. It revolves around a group of friends and also stars Saiju Kurup, Siju Wilson, Aju Varghese, Saniya Iyappan and Grace Antony in pivotal roles.

Scripted by Naveen Bhaskar, the film also marks the return of the Premam actor to the comedy entertainer genre after a gap. His previous similar film was Dhyan Sreenivasan’s Love Action Drama, which also starred Nayanthara and had hit theatres in 2019.

Nivin took to his social media page on his birthday to announce the release date of the upcoming movie. “Stanley and his friends coming to cinemas near you from November 4th, 2022 onwards,” he wrote. The film was initially set to be a September end pooja release. However, it was pushed as the post production work of the movie didn’t complete in time and by then movies such as Mammootty’s Rorschach had taken its spot in theatres.

The new date will also allow enough time between the release of Nivin’s Padavettu and Saturday Night. The former, which is a socio-political drama, is set to hit theatres along with Mohanlal’s Monster as a Diwali release on October 21.

Saturday Night is already billed as a festive entertainer and considering that Nivin’s movies in the commercial genre has always been lapped up by the audience, the makers would be expecting the film to create waves at the box office. Nivin’s previous release was Mahaveeryar, which also starred Asif Ali. Meanwhile, earlier in the day, the actor also announced the title of his next Tamil film with Ram, Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai.
