Leading OTT platform Sony LIV forayed into the talk show space in the non-fiction arena with Nijam with Smita, hosted by musician, actress Smita, that premiered last weekend. The first episode featuring veteran star Chiranjeevi was a hit with netizens and streaming enthusiasts, with many hailing Smita’s ability to elicit responses from the actor with dignity sans any sensationalism.

The second episode of the show will feature noted politician, former AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu as a guest. The promos of the episode certainly promise an intriguing conversation where the politico spills the beans about many interesting chapters in his life - ranging from his love life to politics, handing crisis situations and coming to terms with failure, to name a few.

An earlier promo also hinted that Chandrababu Naidu will be opening up on the controversial chapter in his life where he took over TDP from his father-in-law and Telugu star NTR. Smita prods him to open up on his love life, reasons behind why Rayalaseema is still referred as a backward region in AP and how he dealt with losing power in the 2019 elections in the state.

“Every failure teaches you a lesson, every crisis is an opportunity. Regardless of a family or a state or a country, if the head thinks right, the world will become a better place,” he said. Smita even asks the politician about his favourite actress, painful moments and why he doesn’t trust people very easily. This episode will be out on SonyLIV on February 17.

The show in the later episodes will bring together several popular actors, sportspersons and pioneers in various fields like Nani, Rana Daggubati, Sai Pallavi, Radhika Sarathkumar, Supriya Yarlagadda, Swapna Dutt Chalasani, Pullela Gopichand, Sudheer Babu, Allari Naresh, Anil Ravipudi, Adivi Sesh, Major Bharath Reddy, Dev Katta, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Jaya Prakash Narayan and Ram Madhav.
