Kunchacko Boban seems to be on a roll! The actor, who has been part of several critically acclaimed films since the pandemic with Nayattu, Nizhal, Bheemante Vazhi and Pada, seems to be extending that successful run with his latest release Nna Thaan Case Kodu.

The movie, which is directed by Android Kunjappan Ver. 5.25 and Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham filmmaker Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval, is a satire revolving around a reformed thief who files a case against a minister responsible for a pothole on the road.

Also starring Gayathrie Shankar of Vikram and Super Deluxe fame, Rajesh Madhavan and PP Kunhikrishnan, the movie, which hit theatres on August 11, is a laugh riot with a relevant issue at its core. Kunchacko plays the role of a reformed thief named Rajeevan, who is forced to jump the wall into an MLA’s house to save himself but ends up being branded a thief for entering the premises. His fight to prove his innocence while getting the legal system to make those responsible admit their mistakes form the plot of Nna Thaan Case Kodu, which is also co-produced by the actor.

The movie’s satellite rights have been sold to Asianet and its OTT rights too are reported to be clinched by Disney+ Hotstar. However, there’s no official confirmation regarding this yet. The film’s release date too is yet to be announced, but keeping in mind the one-month window between Malayalam movies’ theatrical and OTT release, it’s expected to drop on the streaming platform in September.

He also has the Malayalam-Tamil bilingual Ottu, which has Arvind Swami and Jackie Shroff as part of the cast, gearing up for release too.
