Officer on Duty, the recently released Malayalam action thriller starring actor Kunchacko Boban in the lead role, turned out be a commercial success upon its theatrical release in February. Following this, the film's post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by Netflix. It will premiere on March 20, in Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada with English subtitles.

Malayalam cinema which has been producing excellent crime stories and thrillers in the recent times, saw the release of Officer on Duty, an action thriller with actor Kunchacko Boban in the lead role. The film is helmed by Jithy Ashraf and written by Shahi Kabir.

The film’s theatrical release was in February, and now will premiere on Netflix. The streaming giant announced the release date as March 20. It will be available in Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada languages.

Officer on Duty features Kunchacko Boban as a demoted police officer who comes with his weight, while also has to head an investigation revolving a fake gold chain. However, it soon leads to a gang of drug peddlers who have been targeting teenage girls for revenge. The ensemble cast also includes actors Jagadish, Priyamani, Vishak Nair, and Aadukalam Naren among others. Officer on Duty is produced by Martin Prakkat, Renjith Nair, and Siby Chavara. Currently, it is the second highest grossing Malayalam film of 2025 so far.
