The much-awaited announcement of the most-anticipated collaboration of Tamil cinema is here! Yes, after many years and much speculations, Tamil cinema’s two biggest icons; Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are reuniting. Another update on the film will be out on Friday at 12.07 pm on Friday.

Yes, after years, the collaboration is happening and in style. Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan will be reuniting for a massive project, in Tamil cinema. On Thursday, the makers of the project announced that the two powerhouses of Tamil cinema will be joining hands. The last time Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth shared the screen space was for the 1979 film Allauddinum Albhutha Vilakkum.

On Thursday, just as clock struck 7.12, denoting Kamal Haasan's birthday on 7th of November and Rajinikanth's on 12th of December, the makers released a poster of a vintage car. "Some men set rules, some met just rule" caption graced the poster. The next update will drop on Friday at 12.07 pm.

While there is no official word on who will be directing the duo, it is rumoured that Nelson Dilipkumar will be the chosen one for the project. Nelson has worked with Rajinikanth in Jailer and upcoming sequel Jailer 2, while he has worked in Bigg Boss Tamil in which Kamal Haasan was part of. More details on the upcoming film are expected to come out soon.

What is Rajinikanth’s next film?

Apart from Jailer 2, Rajinikanth is also working in Thalaivar 173, which is interestingly produced by Kamal Haasan. The film is written and directed by Cibi Chakravarthy who previously made Don. While updates on that film too are yet to be revealed fully, the film is slated for a release for Pongal 2027. Meanwhile for Kamal Haasan, he has a film with AnbAriv which is in the making, along with Kalki 2, and Indian 3.
