SS Rajamouli is all over the news after announcing his new film, Varanasi, a few days ago. Some time ago, we at OTTplay had already reported that Rajamouli's protégé, Palani K, is making his directorial debut with the film One/4.

One/4 locks its release date

The thriller was initially slated for release in September 2025. However, due to certain delays, the shoot did not progress as planned, and the film was not released on time.

Now, the project is back in the news as Palani K has unveiled the trailer of One/4, and it appears to be a gripping crime thriller. Venkatesh Peddapalem and Aparnna Mallik play the main leads, and an interesting aspect is that young actor Temper Vamsi, known for his small character roles—has taken on the role of the main villain in this film.

Though the trailer looks simple, the makers claim that the second half is packed with surprising twists. The thrills showcased are decent, and despite the relatively new cast, director Palani seems to have extracted solid performances from them.

Along with the trailer launch, the makers have confirmed that One/4 will hit the screens on December 12, 2025. A few other small films are also releasing around the same time, but director Palani says that One/4 will surely impress audiences once it arrives in theaters.

One/4 cast and crew details

Subhash Anand has composed the music for the film, and his background score adds good elevation to the trailer. Gunasekhar handles the cinematography, while Sagar Veluru takes care of the choreography. 

Not many of Rajamouli’s disciples have managed to make a strong mark in the industry, and it remains to be seen whether Palani K can break that trend.
