Sony LIV and Onir have just confirmed their collaboration for the upcoming project, based on the Pulwama attacks. The I Am director is all set to make a whole web series based on the 2019 attacks on the Indian border.

The web series has been titled Pulwama Key No. 1026 and will consist of eight episodes. The show is inspired by Rahul Pandita's book named The Love Boy of Bahawalpur.

"The series is a tribute to all those martyrs whose dreams were blown to smithereens the minute the suicide bomber's car hit the bus," the makers shared in a statement.

40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRFC) officers were martyred by Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists on a fateful night. Pulwama attacks took place on February 14 in 2019.

The makers have tagged Pulwama Key No. 1026 as not only a homage to the 40 personnel but also the NIA team who investigated the attack. The series will cover the suicide bomber's car that hit the bus carrying the officers.

While Onir has finalised the project, various other filmmakers had also shown their interest in making a film on the attacks. Sanjay Leela Bhansali was among the few who showed his interest in the project. It was also reported that he would collaborate with T-Series on a movie on the Balakot airstrike by IAF but there has been no update on the same.

Apart from I Am, Onir is known for helming My Brother Nikhil, Shab!, Chauranga and Bas Ek Pal. He had even won the National Award for I Am.
