Karishma Tanna bagged the ‘Most Promising Actor on OTT – Female’ at the OTTplay Awards 23 for her stellar performance in the Hansal Mehta directed web series ‘Scoop’

After having made her debut in showbiz with the extremely popular (and by now cult) TV serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, actress Karishma Tanna has never looked back since then. She went onto do other prominent serials like Qayamat Ki Raat and Naagin 3. She had even given a splendid display of her confident personality during her stint as a contestant in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ (the show’s eighth season), wherein she went onto bag the first runner up spot. But, in the reality show ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi’ (season 10), Karishma Tanna emerged as an ultimate winner!

Speaking of winning, Karishma Tanna today, won the much-deserving award for ‘Most Promising Actor on OTT – Female’ for her flawless performance in the much talked about web series ‘Scoop’. She had played the role of the fearless Jagruti Pathak, who happens to be the Senior crime reporter and Deputy Bureau Chief of Eastern Age.

After receiving the award for ‘Most Promising Actor on OTT – Female’, a super joyous Karishma Tanna felt grateful and thanked Hindustan Times and OTTplay app for the accolade.

Besides Karishma Tanna, the much-appreciated series ‘Scoop’ also starred Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Harman Baweja, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Inayat Sood in important roles. The hard hitting series was directed by Hansal Mehta.

OTTplay Awards 2023 saw the who’s who of Indian cinema turning up at the event at Taj Land’s End on October 29. The only pan-Indian OTT awards show in the country honoured talents across languages – Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Bangla – for their phenomenal work on OTT.

OTTplay Awards 2023 was presented by Danube Properties alongside Dabur Chyawanprash and driven by Volkswagen, with Colors Infinity being the telecast partner.
