In Berlin Aparshakti Khurana plays a sign language expert hired as a translator in an investigation case. The film, which garnered admiration at various festivals, has now received recognition at the OTTplay Awards 2025, where Aparshakti won the Most Promising Actor of the Year award. During his victory speech, he paid a heartfelt tribute to his late father, moving everyone in the audience. “When I was in my fourth or fifth class (in school), my father told me that whenever someone asks your name, tell them, ‘Is Naachiz Ko Aparshakti Khurana Bedil Keht Hain.’ If he were here today, he would have loved to see this Naachiz hop, skip, and jump from the podium, host the show, and then hop, skip, and jump to the middle of the stage to receive an award. Thank you so much to my entire family for being my biggest cheerleaders. Thank you so much!”
Aparshakti and his brother, Ayushmann Khurrana, shared a deep bond with their father, P. Khurrana, who passed away in 2023. Aparshakti’s emotional speech, remembering his father, became one of the most endearing highlights of the night.
