Sunny Leone is often lauded for her chirpy attitude and bold character portrayals on screen. After making a name for herself in Bollywood, she ventured into television and was featured in one of the many popular reality television shows on Indian television, Splitsvilla. She has starred in films such as Jism 2, Hate Story 2, Ek Paheli Leela and many more. Due to the constant entertainment that she provides on-screen, Sunny Leone has won the Entertainer of the Decade Award at the prestigious OTTplay Changemakers Awards 2023 tonight. The glittery award ceremony - which took place at JW Marriott (Juhu), Mumbai - was attended by the who’s who of the Indian film fraternity.

Sunny became a household name after her gig at reality television show Bigg Boss Season 5 in 2011, hosted by Slaman Khan. During the show, she was offered a Bollywood film by Mahesh Bhatt for Jism 2.

After making her big Bollywood debut with Jism 2 in 2012, Sunny carved out a niche for herself as one of the best dancers that the industry has. She has starred in many popular Bollywood songs such as Baby Doll, Pink Lips, Saiyan Superstar and many more. Sunny keeps us hooked to the screens through her enviable dance moves and effortless beauty.

Later, she ventured into television and became one of the most successful television hosts in the country. She stars on MTV’s dating reality show, Splitsvilla as a co-host.

On the personal front, Sunny adopted a baby girl named Nisha in 2017 and later became parents to twins Noah and Asher through surrogacy the following year. She is married to American filmmaker and actor Daniel Weber.

The ‘OTTplay Changemakers Awards 2023’ intend to honour and celebrate the groundbreakers and trendsetters of the entertainment industry. With Indian cinema on the cusp of remarkable transitions, it’s pertinent to honour and boost the confidence of those young minds that are bringing about the change.
