Ottu

Kunchacko Boban and Arvind Swami’s action-thriller might not have found much takers when it released in theatres in Tamil and Malayalam a month ago. But considering that the Malayalam actor has won fans across the country with his films such as Pada, Nayattu and Bheemante Vazhi the past year, it’s sure to have its audience on OTT. The movie, which revolves around a youngster being tasked with the mission of helping a gangster regain his memory, also has Jackie Shroff and Eesha Rabba as part of the cast.

Peace

Streaming on: Sun NXT

Joju George is another fan-favourite of the OTT audience. While his recent movies except for Madhuram revolved around intense, rooted subjects, Peace, helmed by debutant K Sanfeer, is a mad-cap comedy about a bunch of men, who get entangled in a mess and find ways to get out of it but only sink deeper. Joju, Siddique, Shalu Rahim, Aditi Ravi, Remya Nambeesan and Asha Sharath play pivotal roles in the film, narrated using hyperlink format.

Eesho

Streaming on: Sony LIV

Jayasurya and Nadirshah had previously teamed up for the comedy entertainer Amar Akbar Antony, which also tackled the subject of child abuse. In the duo’s second direct-to-OTT release – after Nadirshah’s Kesu Ee Veedinte Nadhan and Jayasurya’s Sunny, they go with a serious take on the subject. Jayasurya plays a mysterious stranger who visits an ATM that is guarded by a man, who is witness to a child abuse crime and is set to testify against a powerful man. Will the stranger protect or kill in this vigilante crime-thriller?

Oru Thekkan Thallu Case

GR Indugopan’s novels have always stood out for its visually-striking moments and that’s the key reason filmmakers have used his material as source for movies. In Oru Thekkan Thallu Case, which is based on Indugopan’s Amminipilla Vettu Case, the story revolves around a gang of youngsters who are intimidated by a lighthouse worker and plot to teach him a lesson. Things take a turn when the latter decides to seek revenge. Biju Menon, Roshan Mathew, Nimisha Sajayan and Padmapriya star in the movie, which is helmed by Sreejith N.

Solomonte Theneechackal

Lal Jose’s latest directorial has Joju George essaying the titular role of an investigative officer who takes charge and delves deep into a murder case. The friendship of two cops – essayed by Vincy Aloshiyus and Darshana S Nair - is put through a wringer in the film’s story as they become suspects in the cast.
