What happens in the climax of Paathirathri?

Jhansi and Harish investigate the true cause of Ansar Ali's death in the forest, uncovering the wrongdoings of a senior police officer in the process. This is to absolve them of any wrongdoing in the case. Even though Ansar's killing was partially caused by DYSP Suresh Kumar and two of his police accomplices, Jhansi and Harish are able to investigate further and identify the murderer—the journalist's wife, Yasmin, played by Ann Augustine. It's obvious that Ansar cheated on her with Anjali, the daughter of DYSP Suresh Kumar, his college sweetheart.
