After the fame comes the troll! That seems to be the trend these days. Celebs such as the ‘wink sensation’ Priya Prakash Varrier and ‘Pawri Ho Rahi Hari’ girl Dananeer Mobeen, who found fame overnight through their videos or photos that went viral, would attest to this. The latest to be on the receiving end of trolls is Pakistani girl Ayesha, whose videos of dancing to Lata Mangeshkar’s Mera Dil Ye Pukare went viral a week ago.

In fact, she won so much attention that her Instagram followers have already doubled her number of followers to 600k+ in just a week since her video went viral. Several celebs including Urfi Javed and Asmita Guptaa and Instagram users mimicked her dance step for the reels, which were just as popular.

But as is the case with overnight fame on social media, trolls followed just as fast. The aspiring model, who is now also known as the Green Kurta Girl, has been hounded by troll posts in her comment section.

While one user remarked that “little fame has already made her arrogant”, another Instagram user commented “she will show everything now that she has become famous”. Several also posted that they were unfollowing her and disliking her post. While Ayesha initially replied she didn’t care about the comments, the brutal trolls seemingly pushed her on Tuesday to share a photo of her showing the middle finger.

Malayali actress Priya Varrier, who found fame on social media, after the video of her song in Oru Adaar Love went viral had recently opened up, saying that the trolls do affect her and she does resort to digital detox every now and then. The actress, who has a following of 7.3 million on Instagram, also said that after the hype, she also had to encounter the downfall and now she has made peace with it.

In a recent interview with OTTPlay, Priya, who is now focused on furthering her acting career, said, “Malayalam cinema is where I want to redeem myself. Here’s where I want people to say that I can act. That’s why I am extremely nervous and anxious about how people are going to accept 4 Years.”

The negativity after overnight fame has also affected actress Dananeer Mobeen, who earlier this year, talked about how she dealt with the trolls when she was unexpectedly thrust into the limelight because of a video. Dananeer, whose works including in the Pakistani serial Sinf-e-Aahan, is put under scanner every time, said that she has learnt to look at the positive side of things, as she has accepted that fame was written in her destiny.
