Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas, who was recently honoured with a Special Jury Mention at the 55th Kerala State Film Awards for Ajayante Randam Moshanam is busy shooting for his next big movie, Pallichattambi. The upcoming film, helmed by Dijo Jose Antony, has wrapped up the schedule in Thodupuzha in Kerala’s Idukki district. Tovino Thomas’ Pallichattambi wraps up major schedule

Pallichattambi is an upcoming Malayalam film, starring Tovino Thomas along with popular actress Kayadu Lohar. After wrapping up the major schedule for Dijo Jose Antony directorial, the team would be heading to Mysore in Karnataka by mid-November 2025 to resume the next schedule.

The upcoming film, said to be yet another big-budget project, is helmed by Dijo Jose Antony, best known for Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer Jana Gana Mana. Kayadu Lohar, who wowed fans with the Tamil film Dragon, is also part of Pallichattambi cast. The actress has already wrapped up her portions for Pallichattambi. Vijayaraghavan, Sudheer Karamana, Baburaj, Prashanth Alex, and Vinod Kedamangalam are the other actors in the cast.

TS Suresh Babu has penned the screenplay for movie, which is set during the 1950s–60s Kerala. Tijo Tomy handles the cinematography, while Jakes Bejoy, who is Malayalam’s current sensation after Lokah success, composes the music.

Tovino Thomas last starred in the lead role in Narivetta, playing a cop who stands up for the rights of tribal folks after being indifferent to their plight initially. Tovino was also seen in a fun cameo in Kalyani Priyadarshan-led Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra. Tovino appeared as goblin Michael, and would lead the second installment of the Lokah franchise, the makers have already announced.

Tovino is also likely to make another cameo appearance in Manjummel Boys’ director Chidambaram’s next titled Balan. But the actor nor the team of Balan has confirmed this.
