Paranthu Po, the 2025 Tamil film which released in theatres on July 4, opened to exceptionally good reviews. Directed by filmmaker Ram and starring Mirchi Shiva, Grace Antony, child actor Master Mitul Ryan and others, let us look how much the film made on day one in theatres.

Paranthu Po box office collection day 1:

Director Ram who is known for making deeply poignant and philosophical films, is back with Paranthu Po, a musical road trip comedy film which talks about big things in simple manner. The film features Mirchi Shiva, Grace Antony, child actor Master Mitul Ryan, Anjali, Aju Varghese and others. Paranthu Po premiered at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam last year and debuted in theatres on July 4.

Upon its release, as per Sacnilk report, the film opened to Rs 0.42 crore on day one at the box office in India. Paranthu Po received positive response from critics, and the film is expected to take off during the weekend with family audience to turn up in theatres.

The film revolves around a road trip that a father and son take, away from the bustling nature of city as they meet various individuals during the journey. It is the first collaboration between Shiva and Ram, who come from different styles of cinema. Vijay Yesudas. Dia, Jesse Kukku, Balaji Sakthivel, and Sreeja Ravi are also part of the film.

Paranthu Po OTT release:

Paranthu Po will release on JioHotstar, which has bankrolled the film, along with GKS Bros Production, and Seven Seas And Seven Hills Productions banners. An OTT release date is yet to be announced by the makers. The technical crew includes camera cranked by NK Ekhambram and Mathi VS is the editor. Music is scored by Santhosh Dhayanithi.

Meanwhile, Ram’s next film is Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai which stars Nivin Pauly, Anjali and Soori in the lead roles. The action thriller is yet to get a release date.
