Paranthu Po, the upcoming Tamil film starring actors Shiva, and Gracy Antony among others, is set to hit big screens very soon. The makers, on Monday, announced that the film is set to release on July 4. Paranthu Po is written and directed by filmmaker Ram, who has made films Thanga Meenkal , Taramani and Peranbu.

Paranthu Po starring actors Shiva, Grace Antony, and Anjali, is an upcoming Tamil film, written and directed by Ram. The film is set to release in theatres on July 4, the makers announced on social media on Monday. Paranthu Po marks the first time the Chennai 600028 and Soodhukavvum 2: Naadum Naattumakkalum actor is working with director Ram.
Touted to be a musical comedy, Paranthu Po had a festival run earlier and had premiered at the International Festival of Rotterdam. The plot of Paranthu Po is about an adamant schoolboy and his financially weaker father. As the duo take a road trip away from the bustling nature of the city, their travel is filled with meetings with kind individuals who on their journey make them understand, about themselves more.

The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film has been bagged by JioHotstar. The ensemble cast of the film will have actors Grace Antony, Mitul Ryan M, Vijay Yesudas, Anjali, Aju Varghese and others.
The technical crew consists of Ekambaram NK as the director of photography and Mathi VS as the editor. Ram who is known for collaborating with composer Yuvan Shankar Raja for his films, took a different route this time, with Santhosh Dhayanidhi scoring the music. However, Yuvan has scored the background music.
Meanwhile, there is also Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai directed by Ram awaiting release. The film stars Soori, Nivin Pauly and Anjali in the lead roles.
