Ravi Mohan, who has a line-up of films, is starring as anti-hero in the upcoming Parasakthi, co-starring Sivakarthikeyan

Actor Ravi Mohan, who recently announced his directorial and production venture, will be playing a negative shade in the upcoming Tamil film Parasakthi. Starring opposite Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan inclusion marks the first time he will be playing an anti-hero opposite another star. On Wednesday, for the occasion of Ravi Mohan’s birthday, the makers of Parasakthi released a character poster from the period drama.

Parasakthi, which is expected to have a release next year, features a star ensemble. Starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, the film will also feature Ravi Mohan as the antagonist, with actors Atharvaa and Sreeleela also part of the film.
With Ravi Mohan celebrating his birthday on Wednesday, the makers of Parasakthi released a new poster of the actor. It shows Ravi Mohan clad in a double-breasted suit akin to period dressing, as we see a steam engine train as well. The film is set to be a period drama happening in the 60s, amid the anti-Hindi agitations. Ravi Mohan is expected to play a villain, opposite Sivakarthikeyan.

Parasakthi is written and directed by Sudha Kongara. The director, who is working for the first time with Ravi Mohan, penned a note on his birthday.
“Look for the quietest spot on sets and u will find Ravi over there, preparing, unruffled, and 200 percent into the character and the scene! Soo enjoying working with you, my beautiful gentleman actor !! Happy happy birthday and may you have the best times ahead,” she wrote.
Parasakthi is expected to release early next year. The film has music by GV Prakash and was first announced with Suriya. Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya Fahadh and Vijay Varma were expected to play main roles. However, after Suriya stepped down from the project, the film’s cast was dismantled and mounted afresh with new actors.
