Thus, even with the Box Office clash between Nikita Roy and Kajol's Maa, Sonakshi Sinha-led film has generated more interest among viewers. Although the advance bookings for the movies are not yet open, in a surprising move, theatre-goers are leaning towards Nikita Roy over Kajol's Maa. Here's proof of it...

Although one would naturally expect that the theatre-goers would be interested in Shaitaan Universe film Maa over Nikita Roy, surprisingly, that is not the case. When looking at the ticket booking platform, the interest for Nikita Roy, starring Sonakshi Sinha and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles, is almost double that of Kajol's Maa. Seeing Paresh Rawal in a movie in the midst of the Hera Pheri 3 controversy could be one of the major reasons why viewers would want to see what the veteran actor has to offer.

Interestingly, News18 had recently spoken to producer Kussh Sinha about casting Paresh Rawal for the movie. He recalled, "We narrated the story and character to him. He liked it because he's playing a great character." Meanwhile, Sonakshi told IANS that she absolutely cannot imagine Hera Pheri 3 without Paresh Rawal, thus sharing the same sentiment with the fans of the cult film franchise starring Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty in the lead roles.

Nikita Roy also proof of the end of sibling rivalry between Sonakshi Sinha and Kussh Sinha

There were rumours of sibling rivalry between Sonakshi Sinha and her brothers. This was noticed when Sonakshi was getting married to Zaheer Iqbal. She has now tied the knot with him and spent a year together, but the Sinha brothers (both Kussh and Luv Sinha) had skipped the wedding. The same gave rise to speculations that there was tension between Sonakshi Sinha and her brothers. Nikita Roy is the first time that Sonakshi and her brother have collaborated since.

About Kajol's Maa

Kajol's film Maa is the second from the Shaitaan Universe. The movie comes after Ajay Devgn-R Madhavan-Janki Bodiwala-Jyotika's film release. Maa is the story of a mother who tries to rescue her daughter from the roots of Doitto, a tree that is cursed and demands a sacrifice. Maa questions who would be the ultimate sacrifice.

The case between Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal is still in court, the former confirmed at a recent event held for his movie, Kannappa. Akshay and fans of Hera Pheri are still hopeful of Paresh Rawal's return to the movie, but the veteran actor has maintained so far that it would not be possible anymore. Well, we would know for certain once the legal proceedings commence and come to an end.
