Paresh Rawal to begin Hera Pheri 3 shooting with Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty in February 2026; Says, 'Our relationship is very transparent'

Following the success of Hera Pheri and Phir Hera Pheri Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty are teaming up for Hera Pheri 3, which is one of the most-awaited films, generating enough anticipation among fans. The third instalment of the superhit Hera Pheri franchise made several headlines when Paresh Rawal (who plays Baburao) revealed that he had walked out of the project. However, in June this year, he again confirmed that all issues have been resolved and he’s all set to return to Hera Pheri 3 and reunite with Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty. Now, in a recent interview, the veteran actor revealed that he is geared up to begin shooting for Hera Pheri 3 with Akshay and Suniel in 2026.

Paresh Rawal gives major update on Hera Pheri 3

Speaking to News18 Showsha, Paresh Rawal revealed the shoot schedule of Hera Pheri 3. He said, “It’s a work in progress. We’ll start shooting for the film in February-March next year."

Reacting to his earlier exit from the project, Paresh said that a lot has happened, but that hasn’t soured his relationship with Priyadarshan, the filmmaker for Hera Pheri 3. He also said that this is not how a relationship worsens.

"Through all of this, we now know each in a sharper and better way. Ghaav bhar gaya hai (The wound has been healed). Our relationship is very transparent," Paresh added.

And Paresh once said that he was 'sick and tired' of playing Baburao in the Hera Pheri series, yet he expressed interest in a Baburao spin-off. “We (Priyadarshan and I) haven’t discussed a spin-off on Baburao. A film is a collaborative effort. Ek film sabki wajah se banti hai. I don’t think Baburao can exist on his own. You’ll need Shyam and Raju too," he remarked.

'I’m not a greedy actor,' says Paresh Rawal

Speaking more about this, the veteran actor said, “I’m not a greedy actor. I’m not foolish either. I’m not someone who assumes that duniya meri wajah se chalti hai." He said that even if a standalone film happens someday, Shyam and Raju (characters of Suniel and Akshay in Hera Pheri) also need to be there." Paresh had also said that he was quite unhappy with the way Phir Hera Pheri turned out, and Sunil was the only person who held his character with integrity and sincerity.

Meanwhile, Paresh Rawal has recently wrapped up the shoot of Priyadarshan’s Bollywood comeback, Bhoot Bangla, co-starring Akshay Kumar.
