Created by James Gunn, the first season is a spin-off from the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) film The Suicide Squad (2021). The new season will have a new storyline. The makers have unveiled a new poster along with the release date of Peacemaker Season 2.

The makers have shared a new poster of Peacemaker Season 2, and the HBO X account announced that a new Peacemaker Season 2 trailer will be released tomorrow (Saturday, July 26, 2025), during San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).

The season will be available for streaming in English, Hindi, and Tamil.

Peacemaker Season 2 will continue the journey of Christopher Smith (Peacemaker), exploring his past and his misguided quest for peace, while also dealing with the aftermath of Season 1 and the events of the new DC Universe. The season will feature a new storyline, with Rick Flag Sr. seeking revenge on Peacemaker for killing his son, Rick Flag Jr. in The Suicide Squad.
