Peddi is Ram Charan's new film that is being directed by Buchi Babu Sana of Uppena fame. The action drama is being mounted on a massive scale by the makers of Pushpa and is halfway done with its shoot.

Ram Charan’s new song Chikiri trends big: Mixed reactions pour in
The makers have kept the film in the news and released a small promo for the first single titled Chikiri. A promotional video showcases director Buchi Babu explaining the song situation to A.R. Rahman, and glimpses of the number are shown through a fun hookstep by Ram Charan.
Though fans are loving the step, there is also a section that dislikes it and has been trolling Ram Charan on social media. Some have also started trolling A.R. Rahman, claiming that the Chikiri song is a copy of the old Hindi number “Jimmy Jimmy.”
Peddi brings back A.R. Rahman to Telugu cinema after a very long gap, and there is a lot of hype around the film, with everyone eager to see what kind of score he will compose for this biggie. However, a majority of fans seem to have liked the song.
Mohit Chauhan of Rockstar fame has sung this number, which Jani Master has choreographed. The song appears at a crucial point when Ram Charan’s character falls in love with the female lead, Janhvi Kapoor.

The full song will be out on November 7, 2025, and seeing the grace of Ram Charan, some even say that it reminds them of his father, Chiranjeevi. Jagapathi Babu and Shivrajkumar play key roles in this film, which is set for release on March 27, 2025.
