With this week witnessing a plethora of OTT releases, the latest Malayalam addition will be the 2026 satirical drama Pennum Porattum. Pennum Porattum is a recently released Malayalam satirical drama. Actor Rajesh Madhavan who had appeared in films like Dheeran, Maranamass, Ronth, and many other Malayalam films, marked his directorial debut with Pennum Porattum. The film released in theatres in February and after its big screen run, will now premiere on Netflix from March 13 onwards. While its original language is in Malayalam, you can also stream the film in Tamil, Telugu, and Hind, along with English subtitles.

Pennum Porattum is set in Kerala’s Palakkad and revolves around a young woman and a Dalmatian called Suttu. While the village residents seem to be peace-loving people, it takes the woman who is called Charulatha and Suttu to expose their other side. With both the woman and the dog breaking the impositions and rules posed by the villagers, Pennum Porattum explores the mindset of villagers, the mob mentality and moral policing. Written by Ravishankar, with Tovino Thomas lending his voice to the dog, Pennum Porattum also stars actors Raina Radhakrishnan, Dinesh and others. The film had opened to good reviews.
