Malayalam actor Rajesh Madhavan’s directorial debut movie Pennum Porattum is all set to hit theatres on February 13, 2026. Ahead of its theatrical release, the makers have dropped the trailer, which depicts the mayhem at a village over a romantic request that reaches the wrong ears. Notably, actor Tovino Thomas is in charge of the narration as Suttu, the dog.

What does the Pennum Porattum trailer show

The Pennum Porattum trailer was dropped on social media on February 9. The trailer begins with the statutory warning that no animals were harmed during the filming, and it is relevant to the glimpse as we get all sorts of animals from dogs, hen, cow and even an elephant in the frame as mayhem unfolds. The earlier released trailer had just teased Tovino Thomas’ presence with the last bit of dialogue.

However, he fully owns the space as the narrator in the trailer as Suttu the puppy is introduced as it narrates the torture it had to face at its home. But the Act 2 of the trailer shifts focus to humans with Kumar is sending a romantic request to Charu, which soon becomes the talk of the town. Act 3 is about humans and animals with director Rajesh Madhavan making an appearance on screen even as utter chaos unfolds at the village. Amidst this, Suttu flees for his life even as Tovino tells us that if you are not able to stay between the walls, then run.

When will Pennum Porattun release

The 2026 movie Pennum Porattum will release in theatres on February 13, 2026. Sukhamano Sukhamann will also release on February 13, while noted filmmaker Abrid Shine’s movie Spa will hit theatres a day before on February 12. The film has received a U certificate from the censor board and will drop on Netflix after its theatrical run.

On the other hand, Tovino's upcoming films include Pallichathambi and Athiradi.
