The Malayalam film, Perumani, is all set to make its OTT debut after a year of its theatrical release. The satirical drama, starring Vinay Forrt, Sunny Wayne and Lukman Avaran in pivotal roles, will be streaming on Saina Play soon.

The movie, which had a theatrical debut in May last year, was praised for its unique style of narrative and quirky performances. It has now been reported that Perumani's digital rights have been acquired by Saina Play. However, an exact date of release has not been announced by the platform. The film is likely to be available on the site in August.

Sthanarthi Sreekuttan, a movie starring Aju Varghese and Sreerag Shine, also just began streaming on the same portal. Tovino Thomas' Nadikar will soon be accessible on Saina Play in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu in addition to Malayalam.

Perumani plot and cast details

As the fictitious town of Perumani prepares for a wedding, an enigmatic guest appears and constantly turns up at the homes and other locations of the local residents. Some of the villagers soon began considering him as a spiritual intervention. The main focus of the film, however, is what his visit means for the community, its residents, and the upcoming marriage. The film is notable for maintaining its light-hearted tone even when the circumstances get serious, according to OTTplay's review.

Deepa Thomas, Navas Vallikkunnu, Vijilesh Karayad, Radhika Radhakrishnan, Franco Francis, and Amal Rajdev all play important parts in the film. Maju marked his directorial debut with this film. He has also penned the script for the satirical drama. The State Award-winning cameraman Manesh Madhavan, editor Joel Kavi, and composer Gopi Sunder comprise Perumani's technical team. Firoz Thairinil has funded the film through Une Vie Movies, along with Maju Movies, the director's production company.
