When it comes to promotions, filmmakers can go great lengths to promote their work. But the team of Pichaikkaran 2 has taken a different route altogether by releasing the first four minutes of the film. The makers today dropped a glimpse of the film and announced that it was a first-of-its-kind attempt. In the video, we first hear about the suicide of a proimentn businessman and another seemingly ruthless man dropping a rat to feed his pet snake.

The scene then veers to a conversation between an interviewer and a renowned surgeon talking about the possibilities of a brain transplant. The surgeon talks about how great personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Thomas Alva Edison and Isaac Newton's contribution to the world could have been so much more, if their brains were kept alive. The interviewer then asks what would happen if people like Hitler's brain were transplanted into someone else. The video then goes on to announce that the film will hit screens in summer.

Vijay Antony, who is acting, directing and producing the film, had announced yesterday much to the surprise of his fans, that he will drop a sneak peek today at 5pm. He dropped a new poster from the film, along with the tagline, 'Money is injurious to health'. Interestingly, Pichaikkaran 2 marks his directorial debut.Kavya Thapar plays the leading lady.

The film is releasing in Tamil and Telugu (Bitchaagadhu2) and is slated to hit screens for summer. The shoot had to be halted after Vijay Antony met with a freak accident on the sets in Langkawi, Malaysia. He was immediately flown back to Chennai after the preliminary emergency treatment. The actor, director and composer is currently resting at home.

The digital rights of the film have been bagged by Disney + Hotstar and the satellite rights have been acquired by Vijay TV.
