Actress Pooja Hegde will next be seen in Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. The actress has spoken out about the failure of her last movie, Rohit Shetty's Cirkus. The movie starring Ranveer Singh, which was released in December, had a poor box office performance, taking in less than Rs 40 crore.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Pooja expressed her disappointment at the movie's dismal box office performance.

She said, “Did it upset me? Yes, a little bit, because it is my baby at the end of the day. But the way I look at it, I only learnt from it. I got to work with Rohit Shetty and comedy legends like Johny Lever, Sanjay Mishra. So I think overall, it was a great thing, and people really appreciated me in the film. And I love Rohit sir as a person. He is a great person to deal with and shoot with. So overall, I think I came out a winner.”

Well, for the uninitiated, Cirkus is not Pooja's first prominent flop, she previously appeared alongside Prabhas in Radhe Shyam. The film, which had a huge budget of more than Rs 300 crore, failed to recoup its expenses at the box office. Talking about the same, she had told Pinkvilla last year, “What I was happy about was that people were appreciating me in the film. Besides saying that ‘Pooja Hegde looks beautiful’, they were also talking about my performance. How I have really improved as an actor, how my emotional scenes were really good and that made me very happy."

Pooja made her Bollywood debut in 2016 with Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro after beginning her acting career with the 2012 Tamil film Mugamoodi. She has appeared in movies like Beast, starring Vijay, and Acharya, starring Chiranjeevi. She plays Bhagyalaxmi in the movie Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, the upcoming family comedy, directed by Farhad Samji, will be released in theatres on April 21.
