Pookie, the 2026 Tamil romantic comedy drama, starring Ajay Dhishan and RK Dhanusha in the lead roles, will make its OTT debut this week. As reported earlier by us, Pookie will be heading to ZEE5 via OTTplay Premium, and will premiere on March 13. Here is how much the film made in theatres before its streaming debut.

Pookie OTT release: Ahead of premiere, how much did the film collect?

Pookie is one of the recently released Tamil film which is produced, edited and scored by Vijay Antony. A romantic comedy drama, Pookie features Vijay Antony’s nephew Ajay Dhishan in the lead role. He had previously appeared in crime thriller Maargan in 2025. Newcomer RK Dhanusha plays the female lead in Pookie. After its theatrical run, Pookie is set to release on OTT this week.

Ahead of its digital premiere, Pookie has completed its theatrical run and has made a lifetime collection of Rs 1.37 crore worldwide, only. The film had been severely impacted at the box office and was overshadowed by Thaai Kizhavi which had released a week earlier but going strong in collection. However, with its digital debut, Pookie has the potential to find a new audience.

Pookie OTT release date: Where and when to stream it?

Pookie is set to stream on ZEE5 on March 13. Subscribers of OTTplay Premium can also watch the film. Pookie revolves around a young couple, Kailash and Aazhi who publicly have a spat and break up. This leads them to sever connections with each other as they try to move on from the relationship. Both Aazhi and Kailash try every method, from indulging in spiritualism to gym, both are unable to. The rest of the movie is about how and what happens to the couple as they try to even date other people.

Directed by Ganesh Chandra, the film also stars actors Pandiarajan, Sunil, Lakshmi Manchu, Indumathi Manigandan, Aaditya Kathir, Vivek Prasanna, Black Pandi, Bigg Boss Sathya, MJ Shriram, Radha, and others.
