Pookie, the Tamil romantic comedy drama which released in theatres a couple of weeks ago, has already locked its OTT partner. We had reported earlier that Pookie will stream on ZEE5. Now, the release date has also been confirmed and will be out on March 13.

Pookie is a 2026 Tamil romantic comedy drama, which released on February 13 in theatres. It stars upcoming actors Ajay Dhishan and RK Dhanusha in the lead roles. Backed by Vijay Antony, the film will head to OTT premiere after its theatrical run. We at OTTplay, have confirmed that Pookie will stream on ZEE5 from March 13 onwards. Subscribers of OTTplay Premium will also be able to watch the romantic comedy drama soon.

What is Pookie about?

Pookie is a romantic comedy drama about two youngsters, Kailash and Aazhi, who are in a relationship. However, the film begins with an instance of their break-up that happens publicly on the road. After the duo part ways, Aazhi and Kailash do their best to divert themselves, and try all methods, from spirituality to binge eating. The rest of the story is about if the couple found success in moving on or found their ways back to each other.

Who is cast and crew of Pookie?

The cast of Pookie is led by Ajay Dhishan, nephew of Vijay Antony. The upcoming actor had shared screen space with the latter in the 2025 crime drama Maargan. RK Dhanusha plays the female lead. Actors Pandiarajan, Sunil, Lakshmi Manchu, Indumathi Manigandan, Aaditya Kathir, Vivek Prasanna, Black Pandi, Bigg Boss Sathya, MJ Shriram, Radha, and others are part of the cast. Directed by cinematographer Ganesh Chandra, Vijay Antony has produced, edited, and scored for Pookie. The film is written by Puthiya Parithi. Pookie had not opened to favourable reviews by critics.
