OTTPlay now has it that the film’s streaming rights have been bagged by ZEE5, which had also bought the digital rights of Super Sharanya that had both Vineeth and Antony in pivotal roles. ZEE5 is expected to begin streaming the film, a month after its theatrical run.

The team is currently working on the post production of Poovan, which is set against a Christmas backdrop. In an earlier interview with us, Vineeth had said, “This is a simple entertainer. The movie, which also has rooster in a pivotal role, doesn’t just revolve around Antony’s character; it tells the story of those in his neighbourhood. It’s akin to some of the Sathyan Anthikad films that we have seen in the past.”

Antony, meanwhile, was last seen in a campus romcom titled Oh Meri Laila, which also has Sona Olickal and Nandana Rajan in pivotal roles. The movie, which is helmed by debutant Abhishek KS, hit theatres on December 23. The actor, who has also completed shooting for Tinu Pappachan’s Chaaver, is now busy with Nahas Hidayath’s action thriller RDX that also has Shane Nigam and Neeraj Madhav in pivotal roles.
