Post Bichagadu 2’s success, Vijay Antony confirms Bichagadu 3 is in the works, to release in 2025

With May coming to close, if there’s something that can be made official, it’s the fact that Bichagadu 2 is the biggest hit in Telugu states this month. This marks Vijay Antony’s timely return to form in the Telugu market, his only hit here after the film’s prequel - Bichagadu, directed by Sasi. Kavya Thapar played the female lead in the action drama that marked the directorial debut of Vijay Antony too.

Commemorating its victorious run, a success meet was held in the presence of the cast, crew at Vizag on Saturday. In the event Vijay Antony officially confirmed that there would be a third part to the franchise and that it would release by 2025. He promised to learn Telugu before his next release and deliver a speech in the language at promotional events henceforth.

“Telugu crowds supported us for Bichagadu and also encouraged us with its sequel Bichagadu 2 and gave a good success. I’m still learning Telugu and I promise to speak in this language when I’m here the next time. I wish to share a happy news that Bichagadu 3 will go on floors soon. The will release in 2025 or early 2026. I dedicate this victory to my entire team and cannot forget the support of my wife Fatima,” Vijay Antony said.

The Telugu writer Bhashyasree claimed that it’s rare that films genuinely celebrate success meets and how promotional events are mostly wrapped up before the release. He credited the audiences for the success of the Vijay Antony starrer and felt the sister sentiment, compelling climax were among the major reasons behind its terrific box office run. He felt the film was promoted well and thanked the producer Fatima for her support.

The producer Fatima Vijay Antony claimed that she’s lost her throat due to fever after promoting Bichagadu 2 extensively and thanked the distributors for giving it a good release in Telugu states, calling them family. Vijay Antony also wrote the story and scored the music for the film that starred YG Mahendran, Yogi Babu, Dev Gill, John Vijay, Hareesh Peradi in crucial roles too.
