Prabhas and Pooja Hegde’s Radhe Shyam to clash with Mahesh Babu’s next release on this date

Radhe Shyam starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde has got a new release date that will have the film clash with another much-anticipated movie led by Mahesh Babu. The makers of Radhe Shyam took to social media to release a poster for the film, which announced its new release date.

In the new poster, Prabhas looks elegant in a blazer and tie, holding a suitcase. The star is said to play a fortune teller named Vikramaditya in the movie. Radhe Shyam was supposed to release earlier in 2020 but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The movie, which is touted to have been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, released posters in five languages as well as English and will hit theatres on January 14 on Sankranthi.

Radhe Shyam is written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, who made his directorial debut with Jil in 2015. This will be his second directorial. The movie, released under the banner of UV Creations, has Justin Prabhakaran as the music composer and Manoj Paramahamsa as its director of photography.

The film, which is said to be a period romantic drama, will see Prabhas take on a role that will be different from his last two movies, Baahubali and Saaho and also features Krishnam Raju, Sachin Khedekar, Priyadarshi and Bhagyashree.

UV Creations shared the poster on their Twitter handle and wrote, “New Year. New Beginnings. And a New Release Date! #Radhe Shyam all set to release in a theatre near you on Makar Sankranti, 14th January 2021.”

Radhe Shyam will go head to head with Parashuram Petla’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata starring Mahesh Babu, which also has a release date for Sankranthi.
