After a delay of almost two years, Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph has kickstarted its foreign schedule in the UK that was delayed due to the pandemic restrictions. Priyanka Nair is the latest to join the cast of the film, which also has Trisha Krishna, Indrajith Sukumaran and Adil Hussain.

The team had resumed shooting the film in August with a week-long schedule in Kochi. Mohanlal left for the UK in the second week of September and we hear that the team has been shooting in the UK for a while now. Priyanka Nair’s role is yet to be revealed.

The film, which is touted to be an action-thriller, will also have schedules in Morocco and Tunisia. Jeethu had earlier told us that the delay due to the pandemic and the pan-India acceptance of South action films prompted the team to increase the scale of the movie during the past two years and now it will be released in two parts.

During the gap between Ram’s previous schedule and this, Mohanlal and Jeethu had collaborated in two direct-to-OTT releases – Drishyam 2 and 12th Man. Priyanka Nair had played a pivotal role in the latter, which is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

While Ram marks the fourth collaboration between Mohanlal and Jeethu, the duo also has two more movies lined up. The most anticipated among these is Drishyam 3, the concluding film in the trilogy that was confirmed by its producer Antony Perumbavoor at an awards show recently. The movie could go on floors only after Jeethu completes work on his upcoming films that include a project with Prithviraj Sukumaran and a Bollywood film.

Mohanlal’s next release, meanwhile, will be Shaji Kailas’ Alone, which will drop on an OTT platform soon. He is also gearing up for the release on Vysakh’s Monster, which is expected to hit theatres in October.
