According to the latest Tollywood reports, actor Allu Arjun has gone to Maredumilli to join the final schedule of his big-budget movie Pushpa: Part I. Maredumilli is situated near East Godavari and is known for its scenic beauty. There are reports suggesting the cast and crew will shoot a grand fight scene in the forest with hundreds of fighters and huge sets have been erected for it. The team is supposed to complete the shoot by the end of October and then, start the post-production work.

Pushpa is directed by Sukumar Bandreddi who is known for delivering hits like Arya, Arya 2 and Rangasthalam. His latest directorial Uppena starred Vijay Sethupathi in a negative role. The movie became a commercial success. Pushpa marks Allu Arjun’s third collaboration with the director.

Sukumar had earlier said that the film Pushpa will be made in two parts. The first part titled ‘Pushpa: The Rise-Part I’ will see the rise of the sandalwood smuggler Pushpa Raj, played by Allu Arjun. The story is based on sandalwood smuggling in Rayalaseema. The film will also mark the debut of Malayalam actor Fahadh Faassil in the Telugu film industry. He will be seen as the antagonist Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. Kannada superstar Dhananjay also makes an appearance as Jolly Reddy making Pushpa his second Telugu movie after Bhairava Geetha.

The film also features Rashmika Mandanna, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Harish Uthaman, Vennela Kishore and Anasuya Bhardwaj in pivotal roles. The movie will be simultaneously released in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun was last seen in Ala Vaikunthapurramlo, a comedy-drama in which he played Bantu, a misplaced child of a millionaire who grows up poor. The movie became one of the biggest commercial hits of 2020 and witnessed a star-studded cast of Jayaram, Tabu, and Nivetha Pethuraj.
